While we would like to provide everything - there is only so much we can do! So, to make sure our hunters come prepared we offer this check list:

PUNCTUALITY IS KEY!!
1)Yourself - While we always factor in some extra time, the best time is often right when legal shooting time starts. With limited time in the morning - we need you to be here on time!

2)License - You need your NC hunting license as well as your federal duck stamp (can be purchased at any US Post Office).

IT'S COLD!
3)Clothing - Dress for the bitter cold and dress in layers - it's always better to be over-dressed! Water-proof and water-resistant clothing is always a plus - particularly for the ride out. Any weather-proof rain coat is excellent.

4)Camo - We don't expect clients to show up in state of the art "reed/marsh" camo - any decent camo pattern will be fine. The upper-body is most important - particularly the head and face. A camo hat and face-mask is a must particularly if you want to watch the birds work the spread

5)Gloves - it's cold, enough said. It's good to have a pair for the ride out/ride in. In addition, any shooting gloves are great - whatever you're comfortable shooting with.

6)Boots - water-proof foot wear or waders. While wading is not always necessary, we'll be in a wet environment - wet feet is never a good thing.

7)GUN in a soft weather-proof case. We recommend 12 gauge shotguns for better knock-down power. If you have an auto or pump, make sure it is legally plugged. Since we're hunting in a salt marsh environment a weather-proof case and oil-cloth is recommended. As storage space is limited, we cannot accomodate hard gun cases. While we do have a couple extra cases, we recommend that you bring your own.

8)SHELLS - We recommend that you bring 2 BOXES of high-velocity 3 inch steel shot (or heavy shot) in either 2s, 3s or 4s. It is not unheard of to shoot 2 boxes of shells per person. If you cannot find what you need or forget, we do have 12 gauge 3" 3s available for standard retail price.

9)DRINKS & SNACKS While we do provide coffee, if you are a very heavy coffee drinker we recommend that you bring extra. In addition, please bring any soft-drinks, water or snacks that you may want.

10)GEAR BAGS - Since space is limited, we ask that our clients consolidate gear into one or two bags.

11) FYI - we do not accomodate dogs unless under special circumstances. Please call or email if that is an issue.

1)BREAKFAST - Coffee and donuts/sweet-rolls are the norm. If you're a health-nut let us know!!

2)BRUNCH - The best part of the day! We offer a first-class blind lunch consisting of eggs, filet-mignon (or pork tenderloin upon request) and local oysters (pending closures).

3)EXTRAS - Don't fret, we have a couple gun cases, hats, gloves, etc. for those that leave something at home. In addition, if you're missing something when you get to our destination - call and let us know. We can probably help!!

4)Everything else! The boats, blinds, decoys, calls - you name it, we have it!
