After a 3 season hiatus I sfound myself back at the Roanoke River this past April for a week. Truthfully it was to help out my friend Dean Lamont, but I have to say that I simply had a ball. The water was fairly high this year but the fishing was so consistent - 60-100+ fish days were the norm. [...]

Im too busy to post pictures. Inshore? Great Reds - exploring lots and lots of new water, particularly in the "gill net free" sanctuaries of eastern Carteret county. Reds are everywhere. The trout are really chewing too - more everyday. Ive caught more 4-5lbrs this summer than in several years prior. Sharks? Spin and fly - amazing. Nearshore? Bottom fish. [...]
