I’ve teamed up with Capt. Lee Sykes of Finaddict charters and boy, we habe been hammering the backwater fish together. Lee is a full time guide and a real class act – and this guy has got some TALENT. He had made my head spin with his knowledge of the trout and sheepshead. I will be happy to put anyone in contact with him or book him directly – just call, we can make it happen.

This big deal is the trout – we’ve layed it to them lately. Early and Late – with several citations (5.5, 5.8 and 8lbs!!!) and handfuls of 2-3lb fish.

We left the camera at the dock and took this photo when we got back – before releasing the beauty back to the deep! Lee’s 8lb SUMMER BEAST!

Results from this past week – we layed it to ’em again getting a

5.8lb fish on the fly rod and lots of 2-3lb fish – we kept 10 (and a nice flounder) and released 20 more, easy. We also had a lot of long distance releases on my end 😳 I mean – a lot. Lee tends to always get his to the boat.

We’ve been also HAMMERING the black drum and sheepshead in the backwaters – talk about some easy dang fishing. The other day, with 3 doz crabs and 45 minutes of fishing we landed 10 black drum from 3-8lbs and 10 sheepshead in the 1-2lb range with a 2.5lb fish being the largest – the bigger ones were there, they just busted us off. When we grab the scuba tanks and LOAD UP on sea urchins – we are going to TEAR UP the big sheepies!
