Whew!! It’s been windy the last couple of weeks! Luckily I have managed to break through the slop and get out a few times – and we’ve had good luck in the really sheltered creeks and inland bays.

The trout fishing, while not as consistent as early march, is still good and we’re catching a nice number of 2-4lb fish just about every outing. The flounder have also been chomping in the creeks and we’ve had some good catches of nice, legal fish. The creeks are also producing a few stripers of random sizes. The drum are also in town, but I need some nicer days to do some sight-fishing! The long range forecast is finally in my favor – so expect more good reports soon! Things are only going to get better, quick.

Just this morning, braving rain, cold & wind – my friend Lee Sykes (

Russ and crew from Ohio had a nice catch – pulling in 4 nice flatties (largest at 18″), several nice 2-3lb trout and a few small rockfish. We also pulled the hooks on several nice trout – not too shabby for a short morning!
