After a fantastic morning of fishing, I headed home – ate some lunch (a little seared Bonito) and walked the dog. Less than two hours after having arrived back at the sli
We headed out to the marsh to look for some hungry reds. It didn’t take long – the first hole provided fish, one after the other. The action was constant with fish moving past the boat in waves for the better part of four hours – drum after drum after drum…and they were all starving. Most of the fish were in the low slot (17-19inch 3 year old fish) with a few rats and a beastly 28 inch beauty that pulled me all over throughout the bars and flats. The spring drum are heating up – and they’re starving!
What a fantastic day – it’s just one of those days that you wish every other day could be like…
